Hi would you mind sharing which blog platform you’re using?
I’m planning to start my own blog in the near future but I’m having a
hard time deciding between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal.
The reason I ask is because your layout seems different then most blogs and I’m
looking for something unique. P.S Sorry for being off-topic but I had
to ask!

For this one, I use WordPress, since my purpose for this one is just to publish epub files I have.
But then again, I work in IT, so I use template provided by WordPress, and just change the CSS (of side-menu, top-menu, etc) according to my taste.
Whichever platform you use, they are good, but it depends on the purpose of your website.
Imho, Drupal provides more flexibilities to create your own website.
It is easier to create Drupal modules compare to WordPress plugins (personal opinion).
I am not sure your background, however if you’re a developer and the website you plan is not only providing information and you plan to extend it more than that, then you can plan for Drupal from the start.
